Fortiva is looking for an experienced Head of Sales and Business Development, within technical sales, who can grow our business with an annual growth of 12% the coming 5 years. Fortiva is part of LSAB Group which is owned by Investment AB Latour.

Job Scope 

The Head of Sales and Business Development is responsible for increasing company revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as expanding brand presence. This role should be adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Strategic development

  • Develop and drive strategic partnerships to grow business. 
  • Drive the implementation of the strategical plans in the whole organization. 
  • Develop and implement business plans for selected segments and areas, e.g. defense, energy, railway and customer machine investments. 
  • Support MD in analyzing and identifying acquirable companies. 

Business development

  • Understand our partners and competitors strategic actions.
  • Assess partners business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data.
  • Manage, develop, and coordinate our services “Effekt” for profitable production.
  • Generate business plans and business cases. 
  • Be involved in customer negotiations and contract management. 

Sales Management

  • Lead, organize, plan and develop the sales work in line with Fortiva's strategy. 
  • Support the MD and Area Sales Managers in the strategic mapping and prioritization of market areas. 
  • Coach and develop direct reporting employees. 
  • Responsibility for some Key Accounts.

The position is full-time and based at our Headquarters in Malmö or at our unit in Trollhättan. You will report directly to our Managing Director and be part of the Management Team. You have personnel responsibility of three people (“Area Sales Manager Tools”, “Area Sales Manager Cut off” and our “Responsible for Service Sales Effekt”). The position involves travel on a regular basis. Driving license is a requirement.

Key Skills 

  • Proven track record in delivering good business results. 
  • Sound and proven understanding of sales and business development. 
  • Successful experience from negotiations of commercial terms and conditions with industrial customers. 
  • Good understanding of business finance and be able to manage budgets as well as set sales targets and evaluate sales data. 
  • Be familiar with standard industry computer programs. 
  • Skilled communicator and presenter both verbally and in writing. 
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, economics, sales or marketing.
  • Driven, business focused, enthusiastic and analytical.
  • Fluent in the English and the Swedish language.
